Home Health Dietitans

Who We Support

  • Home Tube Feeding

Specializing in hospital to home care, our tube feeding dietitians support patients who have a new or existing feeding tube looking to optimize or wean feeding. We provide nutrition evaluation and monitoring to ensure adequate nutrient and fluid intake, formula selection, feeding tolerance, and a feeding regimen that supports both patients and caregivers.

  • Malnutrition

Our dietitians support malnutrition for patients who have lost significant weight due to chronic disease such as cancer, COPD, stroke, dementia, and more. We customize strategies such as fortifying foods, structuring meal regimens, and introducing oral nutrition supplements while monitoring body composition changes to assess effectiveness of the plan.

  • Wound Care

Patients with adequate nutrition have decreased risk for wound development, better immune function, and an improved wound healing rate - especially if they are bed bound or have T2 diabetes. We help to optimize energy and nutrients to support the body’s healing, and provide recommendations for appropriate wound healing supplements.

Meet Your Home Health Dietitians

Smiling woman with long hair and a light background

Meet Meghan Pendleton. She is the founder of MP Nutrition and lead clinical dietitian. Meghan’s favorite part of home health care is the ability to support patients in their familiar surroundings, which can make a world of difference in their emotional and physical well-being. Big health and autonomy changes, especially in older age, can be a difficult adjustment - but when healthcare is done at home with the right support, it offers patients the comfort and independence they need to thrive.

Meet Liz Keck. She has a wealth of experience as a home tube feeding dietitian from her time working at Beaumont Hospital. Liz is a caring rockstar - she can even place a nasogastric tube! She loves being a home health dietitian because she can take into account the environment, family needs, and cultural factors that influence a patient's nutrition. This holistic approach to care enables a deeper understanding of how nutrition successfully fits into the patient’s situation, ultimately helping to support a better quality of life.
